Lectures by some of the world’s leading experts on both indoor and outdoor crime scene evidence location and recovery and interpretation. Learn about the latest scene documentation and mapping technology, details of how bodies decompose, animal interactions, effects of burning, skeletal trauma, and many more topics. Dirkmaat is a board-certified forensic anthropologist that has completed nearly 700 forensic anthropology cases (surface-scatters of human remains, buried bodies, and fatal fire cases) and served as the main scientific advisor to the Somerset, PA coroner during the recovery of United Flight 93 on 9/11. Hochrein is a retired FBI agent who has worked on many high-profile cases such as the Oklahoma City and the Boston Marathon bombing incidents. Donovan is a retired Pennsylvania State Police crime unit sergeant who has nearly 40 years of experience. Professional presentations will be given on forensic methods, practices and experiences with actual cases, as well as many question/answer sessions.
