Mr. Ford has been in involved with the K9 community, in one manner or another, for over 24-years.First, serving in the U.S. Air Force as a Military Working Dog Handler, with experience handling dual-purpose explosive detection and patrol dogs, as well as drug detection and patrol dogs. 

Cameron is one of only a handful of K9 handlers from the United States to be granted admission to the renowned German Polizei Working Dog School in Eckenbach, Germany. Additionally, Cameron has attended the Dutch Politie Scent Dog School in Nunspeet, Holland.

He has served as a police officer in the states of Florida and Texas as K9 handler, state certified instructor and evaluator, and SWAT member.In recent years, Cameron has worked as a contractor for various Federal Government organizations overseeing the training and deployment of 300+ K9 teams in the Middle East. Most recently, Cameron served as a Senior Instructor for the West Coast based U.S. Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Group 1 Multi-Purpose Canine (MPC) program.

Currently, in addition to serving as Tripwire’s K9 Division Program Manager, Cameron is a certified California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) K9 team evaluator and is actively conducting research in conjunction with Duke University regarding dog cognitive abilities and advancements as it relates to working dogs. 

Lastly, Cameron has had the honor of serving as a guest speaker at HITS Conference, K-9 Cop Conference, Western States Canine Assoc., Pacific Northwest Canine Assoc., Colorado Police Canine Assoc., and as a contributing editor to Police K-9 Magazine and K-9 Cop Magazine.
